Shepherdsfield Wedding | Mitch + Jackie

It’s always such an honor to be hired to photograph someone’s wedding. It’s an even bigger honor when someone I know hires me! Mitch and Jacki had an absolutely beautiful August wedding at Shepherdsfield venue in Oregon, in between Bend and Sisters.

It’s the details that count!

Their wedding was full of personal and absolutely beautiful details! The bridesmaids wore perfectly mismatched bridesmaid dresses, which is so hard to do! (I quickly gave up when trying to do this at my own wedding.) Their wedding featured white blossoms and eucalyptus flowers, and handmade perfectly modern signs. Personally, I think Jacki and Mitch should be wedding designers! They killed it with the little things that made their day special!

Their wedding was also full of emotional moments, not only between the couple but other family members too. Mitch’s reaction to Jacki at the first look was so sweet. Jacki also had a precious first look with her dad. Their vows made everyone well up a little, and some heartfelt speeches at the reception made the night extra memorable! I personally teared up at least 6 times!

Here are some of my favorite images from Jacki and Mitch’s wedding day. Shepherdsfield venue was the perfect host with the coolest overlook. We got such a variety of backdrops for photos! The images feature cliffs, wilderness, lush greenery, wild desert spaces, and fields of sunny yellow flowers. As a photographer, I was SO excited with this variety! Jacki is a jewelry designer and made Mitch’s beautiful wood inspired silver ring. Her engagement and wedding ring (which I do not envy Mitch picking out an engagement ring or a jewelry artist) were custom made by John Paul Designs.

One of my favorite things about Shepherdsfield is the diversity of landscapes. We did their first look behind the house in the aspen grove, took “just married” portraits on the cliffside, and glowy sunset photos in the juniper desert and flower garden. And all of these landscapes are within a 2 minute walk of each other!
