Brasada Ranch Wedding | Iris and Andy

Iris and Andy hosted their destination wedding at the beautiful Brasada Ranch Resort in Bend Oregon. Everything was so heartfelt, detailed, and special to Iris and Andy. In fact, it was everything I love in a wedding. The couple recently moved to Portland from NYC so, they had a lot of guests traveling from the East Coast to celebrate with them!

When you think of weddings in Bend, Oregon in August, you rarely think that the day will be cold and rainy. Luckily, the rain held out long enough for us to have their first look and ceremony. However, the deep gray clouds made for stunning portraits of Andy and Iris at the Brasada Ranch Resort.

The Brasada Ranch Resort wedding venue in Bend, Oregon sits on 2,000 acres of farms and wildlands. It’s as if the resort was made for whimsical portraits like the one’s I captured of Iris and Andy. First, we visited an old wood bridge for the reveal of Iris and her beautiful dress to Andy. Second, we strolled through the rolling hills to take portraits before the ceremony.

We wandered past a pond, through a path with lush desert bushes and flowers in bloom. Every photo I captured at the Brasada Ranch was jaw dropping. The beauty of the portraits may have had something to do with the storm clouds trying to steal the sunset.

Floral Arrangements

The ceremony was beautifully framed with a custom arch by Bend Floral Artistry. The floral arrangement swayed gently with the light August breeze. The sweet pinks and greenery contrasted beautifully against the deep gray of the clouds rolling in behind them.

Brasada Ranch Resort Reception

A ranch wedding would not be complete without a surprise line dancing lesson! The guests had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a small of sliver West Coast culture by learning the dance. A large number of the guests traveled from the East coast, so the quick lesson was much needed.
