Natalie and Justin’s Riverhouse Lodge wedding was such a joyful, heartfelt celebration that perfectly reflected who they are as a couple. These two grew up in Sacramento, reconnected later through mutual friends, and built a life together in San Diego. They brought their closest friends and family to Bend for a July 11 wedding that was equal parts meaningful and wildly fun.
One of my favorite moments was their first look. They shared private vows before the ceremony, which gave them space to connect and soak in the day. We also did most of their portraits then, so later they could be fully present with their guests.
From the start, Natalie and Justin made the Riverhouse Lodge their own. Guests were greeted with custom champagne featuring their initials and beer cans with a photo of them and their dog—such a personal touch. Cocktail hour included personalized 7/11 cups, a nod to their wedding date.
They chose to host their entire reception outdoors, transforming the space with string lights, greenery, and a clear tent that created such a magical setting. Their families and friends delivered unforgettable speeches—including a time capsule moment that had the whole crowd crying from laughter. And as I suspected from the moment I met this group, their dance floor was next level. Everyone was out there celebrating, and the energy was so high that someone even split their pants mid-dance!
