When Sarah inquired with a vision of her wedding I knew it was going to be incredible. She’s a personal chef and Riche works at Rainshadow farm where they would host their wedding. They wanted a day that had amazing food, was completely personal to them. A wedding that was able tofeel like a community event. They are both very close to their families who live in the midwest so although they didn’t have an official wedding party their siblings were a huge part of the day along with Richie’s son and their two dogs.
Rainshadow Organic Farm is known for having their monthly harvest table with a long table through the farm and its such a great setup for a wedding. Their resident chef prepares all the food and not only was it incredibly tasty, organic, and grown on site – the tables and style are absolutely beautiful. If you’re looking for that farm to table feel at a weddingI highly recommend them!
Sarah was able to get ready right across the street from the farm at a private house and we were able to do the first look near a juniper grove and garden. Guests arrived at the house to grab a drink and even put some flowers in their hair from the station Sarah set up and then walk over to the ceremony.
After dinner we were able to take some sunset photos around the farm and luckily as Richie works there- he knew all the best spots. They have a flower garden with incredible colors that I was completely obsessed with (the sun was in the perfect spot too!) and take some photos in one of the fields. There was even a friendly cow that wanted to be in some photos and nibble a bit on Sarah’s dress.
The reception was all about dancing and catching up with friends. Thank you Sarah + Richie for including me on such a beautiful day!
